Suzanne Thurston has led inclusive STEMM education and workforce initiatives for more than 20 years. She oversees programs that support Women in STEMM, expand career access for students with disabilities, and promote the use of primary literature in classrooms, while also leading national projects to advance LGBTQ+ data infrastructure and coordinate networks through NSF-funded initiatives. Her work champions equity-focused pathways that connect youth, higher education, and the workforce, fostering transformative and culturally relevant experiences that empower the next generation of scientists, engineers, and leaders.
